#3 Mumbai Indians - No one

Though Mumbai Indians have released many players, it's a doubt if they'll sign an English player this IPL. With great all-rounders in the Pandya brothers, Pollard, Cutting, and a young batting unit led by Rohit Sharma, they should look to strengthen their pace battery where not many options from England are available.

#4- Delhi Daredevils- Alex Hales

Alex Hales was signed as a replacement for David Warner last season. He wasn't given many opportunities to play but had a fair outing in the games he got to play. He scored 148 runs in 6 matches and was surprisingly released by SRH this season despite Dhawan's exit to Delhi.

Hales has had a great time with the England national side and is a number 3 or number 4 player and bats after openers Bairstow and Roy.

He can open the batting as well and his height advantage will help with his batting in case the IPL is shifted to South Africa. He has scored 457 runs in 14 innings in ODIs averaging 35.15 at a strike rate of 94. He could be the stable yet aggressive player for the Daredevils and be an anchor for the side.

#5- Rajasthan Royals- Mark Wood

Rajasthan Royals lacked a death bowler last season, something which was expected from Unadkat but he failed to deliver. They have released him along with Ben Laughlin and D'arcy Short and this can be Mark Wood's chance to shine if he is picked by them.

He is a good T20 bowler and can bowl 2-3 overs in the death. He was released by CSK after playing just 1 game for them last season.

He specializes in the toe-crushing yorkers and can be their best signing this season. Jofra Archer's entry provided stability to their bowling unit and Mark Wood's signing can allow Archer to bowl more overs up front and take wickets while Wood bowls at the death.
