#1 Mumbai Indians

One of the most successful IPL franchises, Mumbai Indians went in the tournament as the defending champions last season but failed to replicate their 2017 success. They finished fifth in league stage with 12 points (six wins & eight losses) to miss out a spot in playoffs. Mumbai failed to find the perfect balance as they struggled to get the right combination for playing XI.
Mumbai Indian management did a lot of experiments throughout the season, which saw Rohit Sharma batting at the fifth position, wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan batting at various slots, etc.
Although Kishan is a prodigious talent and is one to keep an eye out for, MI might like an additional option despite retaining the Indian keeper for the 2019 season.
