James Faulkner was going through a purple patch in IPL 2013. The Australian all-rounder picked up wickets regularly for his side, both with the new ball as well as with the old ball. At the fag end of the season, he delivered an exceptional performance against the Sunrisers Hyderabad. Faulkner took 5 wickets while giving away just 16 runs. Even though the Rajasthan Royals restricted the Sunrisers to a moderate total of 136, they lost the match by 23 runs and Faulkner's efforts went in vain.

Ravindra Jadeja has been an integral part of Chennai Superkings since the time he joined the squad and he has time and again proved his effectiveness as a spinner. In a game against the Deccan Chargers in 2013, CSK finished with a huge total of 193 runs. Chasing a big target is never easy and Jadeja added to the Sunrisers' troubles as he bowled an outstanding spell, picking up 5 wickets for just 16 runs. CSK won the match comfortably by 74 runs.
