#1 Sunil Narine (IPL Matches - 98, Economy rate - 6.53)
Sunil Narine is the most economical bowler in the history of IPL. He has been an integral part of the Kolkata Knight Riders since 2012. The right-arm off break bowler also represents Trinbago Knight Riders in Caribbean Premier League, Dhaka Dynamites in the Bangladesh Premier League, and Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League.
The 30-year-old has overall made 112 scalps in 98 matches at a strike rate of 20.4 and a rather impressive economy rate of 6.54. He is also the 7th on the list of all-time highest wicket-takers in the IPL.
Narine has also developed himself as a potent opening batsman as well, who, more often than not, scores a few quickfire runs at the top. 357 runs and 17 wickets in the 16 IPL matches that he played last season earned him the Most Valuable Player title. The Trinidad & Tobago-born player has been retained by KKR for a whopping ₹ 8.5 crores and will hope to make a similar impact for them as he did last season.
