Tne incident which attracted lots of viewers towards itself and has, thus far, been one of the highlights of the Indian Premier League is the Mankad-saga that took place in the match 4 of the current season. The previous game of the IPL witnessed the Kings XI Punjab skipper Ravichandran Ashwin, mankading the English wicket-keeper Jos Buttler. It was the first instance of Mankading in IPL and the batsmen had to walk out after the umpire's decision. Ravichandran Ashwin, who had affected the runout, had to receive a lot of outrage and wrath by the cricket pundits and spectators.

Meanwhile, another batsman was doing the same mistake. This time it was Shreyas Iyer who was continuously crossing the crease without the ball being delivered. However, Harbhajan Singh didn't directly tried to Mankad but instead gave a warning to the batsman. During the 3rd ball of the 8th over, Harbhajan was seen giving a warning to Shreyas, to prevent crossing the line before the ball gets delivered.
