#2 Ambati Rayudu’s form
For a brief period after the Asia cup, it seemed as if, India has finally found a fixed #4 in the batting order. A position that has been quite surprisingly, India’s biggest concern over the past 4-5 years. However, by the time India toured Australia and New Zealand, the new found confidence seemed to have started waning. And by the time, Australia’s tour of India ended, we found ourselves asking the same questions all over again.
Familiar issues surrounding India’s batting order has resurfaced. Though MS Dhoni’s return to form has been a gasp of fresh air, India are still struggling to zero in on that dependable middle order batsman who can bat at number 4 and can play both the enforcer and the anchor roles to perfection.
Fans would be hoping that Ambati Rayudu has another fantastic year at the IPL, just like 2018 which saw him forcing his way into the Indian team in the first place.
