Mumbai Indians is one of the most successful teams in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Ahead of the IPL Auction 2019, they have retained their core team - Rohit Sharma [c], Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, Krunal Pandya, Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, Mayank Markande, Rahul Chahar, Anukul Roy, Siddhesh Lad, Aditya Tare, Evin Lewis, Kieron Pollard, Ben Cutting, Mitchell McClenaghan, Adam Milne, Jason Behrendorff and traded in Quinton De Kock from the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
In total, they bought 6 players at the auction in Jaipur and have a squad of 24 players, including eight overseas players to choose from going into IPL 2019. They are just short of one player to complete 25-member squad and they ended the auction with INR 6.5 crore in the bank, which is more than any other side.

At the auction
They bought Sri Lankan pacer Lasith Malinga at his base price of Rs. 2 crores. The three-time IPL champions also went for Anmolpreet Singh, who's been in impressive form in domestic cricket. Mumbai also signed left-arm pacer, Barinder Sran for Rs. 3.4 crore.
Mumbai Indians went for a couple of domestic players in Pankaj Jaiswal and Raskh Salam. They also signed Yuvraj Singh at his base price of Rs. 1 crore.
