The ideal player for the fourth spot would have been Kagiso Rabada, However, the South African is currently playing the T20I series against Sri Lanka. It's expected to end on 24th March 2019, hence he will not be part of the opening fixture for Delhi.

The franchise might go with the Nepal leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane, who played three games in the last season and impressed everyone. The 18-year-old took the wickets of IPL superstars Suresh Raina and Kieron Pollard in the last season. He wowed everyone in the last match against Mumbai Indian by taking three wickets

The leg spinner has taken over 40 wickets in T20 cricket with an impressive economy rate of 6.80. He also did well Qalandars in the recently concluded Pakistan Super League. If he does well in the opening game you never know as he might play all in the games for Delhi Capitals.
