IPL 2019: One fringe player from each team who can impress if given a chance

The Kolkata Knight Riders didn't make too many mainstream buys at the auction and only competed to buy Carlos Brathwaite for INR 5 Crore. Other than that, most of their overseas buys seemed to be fringe players and barring Lockie Ferguson, none crossed INR 1 Crore.

But players like Joe Denly and Anrich Nortje aren't to be taken lightly and they're very good T20 players. Joe Denly has made a surprising comeback to the England Cricket team due to his great T20 performances both with bat and ball. He's a top order batsman and a good leg-spinner and recently won a Man Of The Match award for his bowling against Sri Lanka. He could be a great alternative in case their openers don't fire.

Anrich Nortje is another name added to the plethora of quality bowlers South Africa possess ahead of the World Cup. Though he may not make it to the squad, he will certainly be in the lookout for a back-up spot. Nortje has picked up 6 wickets in 3 ODIs he has played and also excelled in the Mzanzi Super League. Though Lockie and Harry Gurney will be preferred ahead of him, Nortje should get chances to play.
