#3 Mumbai Indians - Mayank Markande

Mumbai Indians did not buy any experienced spinner at the 2018 IPL auction and thus their spin department was considered to be their weak link. But Mayank Markande's performance in the inaugural match of the season against Chennai Super Kings proved otherwise.
Markande, who was a fairly unknown name at that stage, showed immense confidence in himself and bowled some terrific spells for the Mumbai based franchise. The young Punjab spinner took 15 wickets in 14 games in IPL 2018 and was the Purple Cap holder for a few matches. His did struggle a little in the latter half of the tournament; however, he still managed to impress everyone with his temperament.
The 21-year-old was then chosen in the India A side and delivered some good performances there too. Markande will be keen to repeat his IPL 2018 performance in 2019 too.
