#1 Kolkata Knight Riders - Shubman Gill
Another member of the victorious Indian Under-19 World Cup winning team who had a productive 2018 was Shubman Gill. The dashing right-hand batsman dazzled in the marquee event and was named the Man of the Tournament. He was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders at the 2018 IPL auction.

KKR had an inexperienced middle-order and the onus was on the likes of Gill and Nitish Rana to deliver the goods. Gill scored 203 runs in 13 matches at a healthy average of 33.83 and an outstanding strike-rate of 146.04. Gill has been a regular in the India A side since then and has extended his purple patch across formats.
The 19-year-old also scored big runs in the Ranji Trophy for his state team Punjab. He was rewarded with a place in the Indian team in the ODI series against New Zealand and made his international debut in the 4th ODI. Gill is surely one for the future and an Emerging Player of the Season award will most certainly do justice to his talent.
