With the ongoing talk of Virat Kohli playing at Number four, it potentially opens up a vacant spot at number three. Though Ambati Rayadu might be the preferred go-to-guy; Shubman Gill can stake a claim to it with some consistent performances.

With KKR expected to rely on Shubman Gill to ensure balance to the squad, Gill will be looking to showcase his talent this season to put forth his claim up against the pecking order for a place in the national team.
