#4- Rajasthan Royals- Kyle Abbott

Kyle Abbott has been in the Proteas cricketing circuit since 2013 and rose to fame after he picked up 7 wickets against Australia in Hobart. He has been in and out of the team but now finds himself on the bench due to Dale Steyn's comeback. He has played in the IPL for the Kings XI Punjab where he was expensive and went unsold last year. The following years have been better and now has had a great T20 career and will be a good bowler for a team like Rajasthan Royals.

He has picked up 26 wickets in 21 matches in T20Is at a good economy rate of 7.96 for pacers and is very consistent with his line and length. He can be a good pick for the Royals and apply pressure on the batsman from one end while a strike bowler like Jofra Archer can pick up the wickets.

#5- Heinrich Klassen- Sunrisers Hyderabad

Heinrich Klaasen
Heinrich Klaasen

Heinrich Klaasen was drafted in by the Rajasthan Royals as a replacement for Steve Smith and that speaks volumes about his talent. He was released by them for the upcoming season. Klaasen has a great strike rate of 158 in T20s and can be destructive up front for the Sunrisers. They also lack a wicket keeper and he could fit in there as well.

He hasn't had a great time in the ODI series against Australia but will look to bounce back in the Mzanzi Super League. Regardless of his form, this dashing and energetic batsman can become a prolific scorer for Sunrisers much like how Buttler did for the Royals.

#6- Hashim Amla- Royal Challengers Bangalore

The Royal Challengers Bangalore lacked a solid opener last season, one who could stand tall from the start of the innings till the end. In fact, no one except for Kohli and ABD faced many balls because they got out too soon. Hashim Amla is one of the finest cricketers to ever play the game and has even scored a century in the IPL but he has been wrongly branded as a longer format player.

He possesses great stats in the IPL and has scored 577 runs in 16 matches at a healthy strike rate of 141 and an average of 44.38. He will be a great addition to this RCB squad and head coach Gary Kirsten will know a lot of his ability and will be willing to shell out money for him at the auction.

#7- Chennai Super Kings and #8-Mumbai Indians- No One

The Chennai Super Kings have filled up all of their overseas slots and have released only 2 players ahead of the auction. They do possess 2 Proteas players in their squad, Faf Du Plessis and Imran Tahir. Both of them are in good form for the national side and will be raring to go in the next season.

While the Mumbai Indians camp offers more room for selection, they have better options available elsewhere. They signed Quinton De Kock from the Royal Challengers Bangalore as their opener but need spinners and good fast bowlers at the auction. They have a lot of options from Australia and the West Indies but not from South Africa
