One of the biggest reasons for Royal Challengers Bangalore's dismal show in IPL 2019 has been the poor performance of it's bowlers. Even though conditions at Chinnaswamy aren't the best for bowling, a much better effort was expected from the RCB bowlers. Umesh Yadav was the most experienced bowler in the RCB bowling line-up.

Yadav was phenomenal last year picking up 20 wickets in the season and Kohli was banking on him to repeat it this year too. However, it turned out to be a season to forget for Yadav. He erred in line and length more than once and lacked discipline. Kohli and RCB management showed full confidence in Yadav's abilities and persisted with him in 11 matches.

Yadav took 8 wickets in those 11 matches while giving away runs at an economy of 9.80. RCB has been brutal when it comes to releasing non-performers and Umesh Yadav might soon realise it.
