International players in the IPL teams have a huge responsibility on their shoulders. They are expected to deliver in crunch situations and win matches for their teams single-handedly. Rajasthan Royals is one side that was over dependent on it's international players. Jos Buttler, Ben Stokes, Steve Smith and Jofra Archer were expected to play a huge role in their team's IPL campaign.

tokes was a major disappointment for the Royals second year running. After having an ordinary season last year, Stokes failed once again. The most valuable player of IPL 2017, Stokes scored just 123 runs in 9 matches at an average of 20.50. His performance with the ball was even worse as he took just 6 wickets while giving away runs at an economy of above 11 runs per over.

Stokes is being paid a big fat paycheck by the Royals and such poor returns might lead to his exclusion from the side next year.
