IPL 2019: The 'Impact Player' for each franchise

In a squad as deep as Chennai Super Kings' which consists of multiple Indian and International stars, it is difficult to single out just one player who will be the 'impact player' for the franchise. However, purely on the basis of his consistency in the IPL, 'Mr. IPL', as he is called, makes the cut.

Raina, who is the highest run-getter in the history of the tournament, currently finds himself out of favour with the national team selectors; however, history has shown that regardless of Raina's form in any other format, he invariably performs in the IPL. Slotting in at the crucial number three position for the Chennai Super Kings, Raina contributes not only with his explosive batting but also with his remarkable fielding and occasional canny off-breaks. A stellar showing in the IPL could give him an outside chance to be included in India's World Cup squad, so he will be especially keen to perform well.
