#2 107*(69) v KKR, IPL 2010
Warner didn't go all guns blazing in his initial year in the IPL, but announced himself with a century in the third edition, against Kolkata Knight Riders. It almost seemed as if everything bowled to him would land outside the park; such was the cleanliness in his stroke-making and intent.
Warner was always going to be the player to watch out for due to a couple of promising knocks in the first two games of the season. In this fixture, Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir and Dinesh Karthik registered single-digit scores, with Delhi languishing a 38-3.
In came Paul Collingwood to support the Aussie, but the former England captain too, could not accelerate. But there was Warner, who exhibited a fabulous display of controlled aggression with nine fours in his innings.
Courtesy of his hard-fought century, Delhi finished their innings at an impressive 177-4 and also won the match by a healthy margin of 40 runs.
