He might not have played big innings for the franchise but has contributed tremendously by playing some useful cameos down the order.

He therefore has the best average among all the Indian batsmen who have scored more than 500 runs in the IPL. Dhoni averages more than 40 in the 175 games he has played in the tournament so far, and is ahead of the likes of KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant and the legendary Sachin Tendulkar.
