Chennai Super Kings went into the auction needing an Indian fast bowler, and they got Mohit Sharma back for ₹5-crores. While the price seems high, his former stint with CSK makes him a good buy for the team.

Sharma had been a mainstay for CSK in the past and even won the purple cap in one of the seasons. He may not be the same bowler that he was a few seasons ago, but no one knows how to use him better than Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
After all, his rise as a death bowler started when he was with the CSK and they will hope it continues this season too. Dwayne Bravo is not at this best anymore, as it was evident last year and hence they need someone else to take responsibility towards the end of the innings.
