The Dinesh Karthik-led side had a decent outing in IPL 2018, losing the race in the second qualifier. They had plenty of firepower in the top order and also strong finishers at the end, but they lacked depth in the middle.

Inserting Yuvraj might help them overcome this problem and hence produce even better results in the forthcoming season. It's possible that they could buy him at his base price.

Yuvraj has previously played for RCB and could again be seen sharing the dressing room with Virat Kohli in IPL 2019. They left out Sarfaraz Khan and Mandeep Singh ahead of the auction, and adding Yuvraj would settle their middle-order.

Pertinently, Kohli has several times expressed his desire to play alongside Yuvraj, which strengthens the latter's case to play for RCB. Having a salary cap of 18.5 crore, the Bangalore-based franchise would be hoping to rope him in at his base price.
