#2 Robin Uthappa
Robin Uthappa had started his IPL career with Mumbai Indians before moving to Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2009. He was one of the consistent performers for MI during the only season he spent with them. The right-hander scored more than 300 runs in 14 games at an average of over 35.
Uthappa is an all-time IPL legend as he is amongst the top 10 leading run-scorers in the history of the tournament. He might be past his peak and not as effective as he once was, but he is still good enough to get the job done.
MI might consider Uthappa’s name as he can provide solidity to their middle order. He can be brought in as a back-up option for the young Ishan Kishan.
Ishan is an exciting talent, but he has been inconsistent in the IPL so far. If MI wants to have somebody who is more dependable than Ishan, Uthappa could well be their man.
