Narayan Jagadeesan is another talented local cricketer who deserves an opportunity in the playing XI. The 24-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman has been a part of the Super Kings squad since 2018 but is yet to make his debut in the prestigious tournament.

With star openers like Shane Watson and Faf du Plessis falling on the wrong side of the age group and Murali Vijay not in the best of form, Jagdeeshan can be a good option for MS Dhoni, who likes to back young talents. Besides, he can bat at any position, which will give Chennai enough flexibility even with Ambati Rayudu and Kedar Jadhav not being in the best of form.
Hailing from Coimbatore, Jagdeeshan is already a star in the Tamil Nadu Premier League. The Dindigul Dragons star is the highest run-scorer in the competition with 1240 runs across four seasons.
He has also been a regular for Tamil Nadu in the domestic circuit, and will be keen to showcase his skills in the league followed by billions across the globe.
