#1. Manoj Tiwary

Bengal batsman Manoj Tiwary has made no bones about the fact that he was surprised with the IPL snub for a second year in a row. Tiwary went unsold at a base price of INR 50 lakh. After being ignored, Tiwary ‘celebrated’ at a restaurant. He took to Twitter and wrote,
There was a more emotional reaction after Tiwary smashed his maiden triple hundred against Hyderabad earlier this month in the Ranji Trophy. Tiwary made an unbeaten 303 from 414 balls with 30 fours and five sixes as Bengal got the better of Hyderabad by an innings and 303 runs. The knock made the 34-year-old only the second player from Bengal after Devang Gandhi to hit a triple century.
“It was difficult to digest the fact (IPL snub). But that’s the reality. Obviously, it feels bad when you see so many youngsters playing and I sit back at home watching. Those shots I could have hit. It’s the harsh reality for me,” Tiwary said after the spectacular innings.
Before the triple against Hyderabad, Tiwary got starts in most games, but had only one fifty to show, against Kerala. Thanks to his unbeaten 303, he now has 501 runs to his name at an average of 83.50. Apart from being a domestic veteran, Tiwary also has an ODI hundred to his name.
If luck shines on him, the experienced Tiwary might get a backdoor entry into IPL 2020, and can be useful with his proven ability to score runs.
