MS Dhoni's struggling CSK faced off against MI in a must-win game, but they collapsed spectacularly to lose by 10 wickets. The architect of CSK's downfall was Trent Boult, who picked up 4/18 to restrict the Men in Yellow to just 114/9.

The Kiwi started off by picking up the wickets of Ruturaj Gaikwad and Faf du Plessis before returning to prise out Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran. For his performance, Boult was rightfully adjudged the Man of the Match.

Perhaps the find of IPL 2020, mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy was the only man to take a 5-wicket haul in the tournament. The Tamil Nadu man picked up the wickets of Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, Shimron Hetmyer, Marcus Stoinis and Axar Patel to end up with figures of 5/20 in his 4 overs.

Chakravarthy even earned a call-up to the Indian T20I squad after finishing IPL 2020 with 17 wickets, but he was ruled out due to a shoulder injury.
