Ashton Turner is a 26-year-old Australian all-rounder who was bought by Rajasthan Royals in the auction leading up to the 2019 season.

Turner had shown great promise in the matches leading up to the IPL. In the series against India, which ended just days before the IPL, he scored 125 runs in three matches at a strike-rate of over 140. However, what could have been a memorable IPL turned out to be a disaster.

Turner played four matches and scored just three runs, with three ducks in three consecutive innings. Even after the IPL there has been no spectacular performance from Turner that would entice any franchise to invest money in him.

Hence, the young all-rounder might have to wait a while before getting an IPL contract again.
