Injuries have crept up on Angelo Matthews often

Former Sri Lankan skipper Angelo Mathews' career has been impeded by a slew of injuries and he has been out of action in the recent past. The all-rounder last played a T20I for Sri Lanka in August 2018 and he has been left out of the squad since then.

Furthermore, Angelo Mathews also doesn't bowl due to his shoulder woes and last played an ODI in July 2019. He could not make the cut for the recent Sri Lanka's tour Australian tour for 3 T20Is. Moreover, the veteran's IPL numbers are also not promising. The right-hander has scored 724 runs in the 49 IPL matches, at a mundane average of 23.35 and a strike rate of 125.91.

He has also set his base price at INR 2 crores but it is going to be a surprise if he gets picked in the auction.
