3) Satyajeet Bachhav
Satyajeet Bachhav found no buyers at the last IPL auction as he went unsold with a base price of INR 20 lakh. Nevertheless, the slow-left arm orthodox bowler produced sensational performances with the ball in the Indian domestic circuit after his IPL snub.
Representing Maharashtra, Bachhav finished the 2018-19 Ranji season as his side's highest wicket-taker with 28 dismissals in seven matches and best figures of 8/108. In the 2018-19 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy that followed the 26-year-old was at his very best, picking up 20 wickets in 12 matches and finishing the tournament as the highest wicket-taker.
Batsmen succumbed to his web of spin in the 2019-20 Vijay Hazare Trophy as well, as the Nashik-born spinner finished the tournament as the joint-highest wicket-taker with 15 scalps in eight matches.
Bachhav's bowling display across formats has been commendable. After bagging 41 first-class wickets (in 14 matches), 39 in List A (23 matches) and 22 T20 wickets in 17 matches, he deserves an IPL contract this time.
