At this year's IPL auction, they decided to go for Jharkhand's youngster Virat Singh for a sum of 1.9 Crores which came as a surprise to many. However, young Virat Singh has been earning plaudits on the youth domestic setup for the past few years and featured for the Jharkhand senior time at a young age of 16 in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Originally hailing from Jamshedpur, Virat had a splendid tournament for Jharkhand in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy as he scored 343 runs in 10 matches in addition to the 335 runs gathered in seven outings during the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

The Sunrisers management will be hoping the young gun continues to deliver on his golden chance and manages to make himself stand out.
