Andre Russell, the name itself instills fear in the hearts of opposition bowlers all around the globe. When the Caribbean gets going, he is unstoppable. and has the ability to take the attack to the opposition. His ability to turn the tide in favor of his side has earned him hefty contracts with T20 franchises all across the world.

The driving force of KKR since 2015, much was expected from Russell this year, as he mustered 510 runs at a whooping strike-rate of 204.81 last time around. But the destroyer was a pale shadow of himself this year, and could only notch up 117 runs in 9 innings at a ridiculous average of 13 and a personal best score of 25.

He could only clear the boundary 9 times in this season whereas he struck a staggering 52 sixes in 2019. Russell was also shoddy on the bowling front, leaking 175 runs in his 18 overs. His ill-timed injuries didn't help his cause either, plummeting his confidence and dampening the spirits of KKR fans.
