#2 Mumbai Indians - Saurabh Tiwary

Mumbai Indians turned quite a few heads when they made a bid for Saurabh Tiwary. Tiwary, who last featured in an IPL game in 2017, has been out of favour for quite some time now. While Mumbai Indians might have bought him, it will be interesting to see how the team management accommodates the 30-year-old in the star-studded middle-order comprising of Kieron Pollard, Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav.
#1 Chennai Super Kings - Murali Vijay

Murali Vijay has been a vital cog in the wheel for Chennai Super Kings for years but there has been a major dip in his form in the past couple of years. The opener's struggle with poor form and fitness has resulted in his exclusion from CSK's playing XI. While he played just a single game in 2018, he got two games in 2019. CSK already have a couple of strong openers in Shane Watson and Faf du Plessis. Also, waiting in the wings is the talented youngster Ruturaj Gaikwad, who has been making news for his explosive batting for India A. Thus, Vijay might have to warm the bench in IPL 2020.
