#3 David Warner - 548 runs in IPL 2020

David Warner didn't start IPL 2020 too fluently, and struggled for timing during the initial phase of the tournament. However, he eventually came into his own once he started to play shots freely in the powerplay, and finished yet another IPL season with over 500 runs.

Warner ended IPL 2020 on 548 runs from 16 games at an average of 39.14 and a strike rate of 134.64, and solidified his standing as the highest-scoring overseas player in the history of the league. The SRH skipper led his team to Qualifier 2, and he'd be upset that he couldn't deliver in the final two games of the tournament.

#2 Shikhar Dhawan - 618 runs in IPL 2020

Much like Warner, Shikhar Dhawan started IPL 2020 scratchily, but burst into form with two hundreds (back-to-back) and two fifties in 4 innings. The southpaw's form waned immediately after as he registered three ducks in 4 innings, but he played another crucial knock in Qualifier 2 to take DC to the final.

Dhawan ended IPL 2020 on 618 runs in 17 innings at an average of 44.14 and a strike rate of 144.73, and was the only man who had the chance to challenge KL Rahul at the top of the Orange Cap list.

#1 KL Rahul - 670 runs in IPL 2020

The undisputed holder of the Orange Cap for most of IPL 2020, KL Rahul had a stellar individual season in which he scored 670 runs in 14 games at an average of 55.83 and a strike rate of 129.34. Although he came under a bit of criticism for his below-par strike rate, the KXIP skipper was an assured presence at the top of the order and nearly engineered a late playoff-securing run.

Rahul recorded the highest individual score by an Indian batsman in IPL history against RCB (132*), and scored 5 fifties as well (joint-most with Devdutt Padikkal and AB de Villiers). Although his team couldn't make the playoffs, the Karnataka man will draw great confidence from his maiden Orange Cap win.
