Steve Smith will be looking to lead from the front in a bid to help Rajasthan to their second IPL title after the glory days of 2008 when another great leg spinner was leading them.
The Royals are not the favourites yet again and most certainly not the strongest team on paper. They have the opportunity to spring in a surprise as they did in the inaugural edition of IPL. For that to happen, the young players like Riyan Parag will need to up the ante this season. The experienced players such as Robin Uthappa, David Miller, and Jofra Archer will also have to be at their best from the word go.
The young Parag showed promise last season by scoring a fifty and amassing a total of 160 runs in 7 matches. He also chipped in with 2 wickets in the bowling department. RR can not afford many slip-ups during their campaign and a good beginning in IPL 2020 will set the tone for the rest of the season to follow.
Indian youngsters have a chance to be in the reckoning for T20 World Cup
A good performance in the IPL will help the youngsters grab eyeballs and be in the reckoning for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup for their respective national teams. Ankit Rajpoot, Riyan Parag, Sanju Samson, and Mayank Markande will all be looking to break into the Indian team after 2020 IPL.
