Devdutt Padikkal: 6/10

Padikkal made a bright start to his innings but offered a simple catch to cover just when he seemed set to carry on. The southpaw walked back for a 12-ball 18, which featured a delicious pick-up shot off Mohammed Shami.

Aaron Finch: 5.5/10

This was yet another scratchy innings from Finch, who has not looked confident in IPL 2020 so far. An 18-ball 20 culminated in an embarrassingly tentative shot off Murugan Ashwin, a mere ball after he edged one between keeper and slip. The Australian seems extremely susceptible to both swing and spin.

Virat Kohli: 6/10

Kohli played well in the initial part of his innings, but his scoring slowed down when Sundar and Dube came to the crease. The RCB captain inexplicably promoted the two all-rounders ahead of AB de Villiers, and was dismissed in the same over as the South African for a 39-ball 48.

Kohli's captaincy on the night was woeful even apart from the De Villiers decision. Sundar didn't bowl a single over in the powerplay, Chahal bowled just 3 overs (with one of them being the final over of the innings), Siraj was given the 16th over despite multiple other options (he went for 20) and Sundar was given the 17th over (he went for 15).

AB de Villiers: 3/10

Coming in at No. 6 for reasons known only to Kohli and the RCB management, De Villiers couldn't do much and walked back for just 2. After a 33-ball 73* in his previous game at the same venue, he would be disappointed to have not continued his fine run of form.

Shivam Dube: 5.5/10

Dube did strike Ravi Bishnoi for a couple of sixes, but looked stuck and devoid of timing at the crease. The all-rounder perished to a short ball yet again for a 19-ball 23, and surely De Villiers would've done more than him at the crease.

Chris Morris: 8/10

Morris launched a blistering assault in the last two overs of the RCB innings in what was his first hit in IPL 2020, making 25 off just 8 balls to significantly boost the total. The South African was good with the ball as well as he conceded just 22 runs in his 4 overs.

Washington Sundar: 3.5/10

Sundar got a surprise promotion to No. 4, but his 14-ball 13 did nothing to justify the decision. The off-spinner bowled two overs splendidly, but was carted around for 4 sixes by Gayle in his next two to finish with 0/38 in his 4 overs.

Isuru Udana: 6.5/10

Udana hit a crunching six in the final over of the RCB innings, but didn't make much of an impact with the ball in hand. The Sri Lankan went for 10 in his first over and although he bowled a tight second over for just 4 runs, he didn't look like taking wickets.

Mohammed Siraj: 1/10

Siraj was undoubtedly the worst RCB bowler on display, conceding 44 runs in the 3 overs he bowled. The pacer's final over in particular was tragic, as he dished out freebie after freebie with the field placements in complete contrast to his own execution.

Navdeep Saini: 7.5/10

Saini was the most economical RCB bowler on display, and apart from an expensive second over, he was extremely accurate. He finished with 0/21 in his 4 overs - yet another solid performance.

Yuzvendra Chahal: 6/10

This wasn't anywhere near Chahal's best performance as he conceded 28 runs in his first 2 overs, but he managed to get revenge over Agarwal. With only 2 to defend in the final over, he nearly took the game to a Super Over.
