Oldest Player - Chris Gayle (40 years)

Chris Gayle or 'Gaylestorm', as he is popularly known, is the oldest player in the KXIP squad. The Jamaican cricketer is 40 years old but is still one of the most feared batsmen in T20 cricket. He is the highest run-scorer for West Indies in ODIs and has multiple international records to his name.

In the 125 matches Gayle has played in the IPL, he has amassed 4484 runs at a blistering strike rate of 151.03 and a commendable average of 41.14.

Some of the other older players in the KXIP set up are Krishnappa Gowtham, Chris Jordan, and Glenn Maxwell (all 31).

Youngest Player - Mujeeb ur Rahman (18 years)

At 18 years of age, KXIP's Right-arm off-break bowler Mujeeb ur Rahman is their youngest player. Mujeeb has an innate ability to bamboozle batsmen with his spin variations, especially the carrom ball. The Afghani cricketer was retained by KXIP for ₹4 crore. Mujeeb has clinched 17 wickets in the 16 IPL matches he has played thus far. After a lackluster 2019 edition, the mystery spinner will be looking to bounce back in 2020.

Some of the other young players in the KXIP line-up include Ravi Bishnoi (19); Arshdeep Singh (20); Darshan Nalkande, Ishan Porel, and Prabhsimran Singh (all 21).
