The defending champions are looking to retain the title in the 2020 season. Having released just ten players for the auction, they have retained the remaining ones to make sure that they go in with an identical combination that helped them win in 2019. Looking at their squad it is dafe to state that they have one of the best batsmen as well as the best bowler in their squad in Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah.

They also have the services of the Pandya brothers who have been an asset to the team in the last couple of seasons. In addition to this, they have the likes of Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav who have proved to be effective and explosive at the top of the order with the bat while Rahul Chahar keeps doing his job with the ball bowling some tight spells. Young guns like Anmolpreet Singh and Anukul Roy have been in magnificent form in the domestic circuit and would be looking for an opportunity to prove themselves. Overall, the franchise has a strong set of Indian players.
