MS Dhoni might be playing his last IPL

The former Indian skipper, who retired from all forms of the game a year ago, is probably playing his last season in the IPL. This is likely as the mega auction is scheduled to take place before the next edition.

In the previous IPL season, the first since retirement, he managed only 200 runs from 14 matches for the men in yellow. The season also happened to be the worst season for the franchise, the first time in 13 seasons they failed to qualify for playoffs/semi-finals. Also, after scoring just 37 runs out of the first seven games this season, the veteran himself would be focusing on getting the best out of himself in this 2nd phase of the season.

Having recently been appointed as the Indian team’s mentor, his roles and responsibilities henceforth are expected to change in the future. Still, the iconic player, who has led CSK to many laurels, will be eager to give his best and finish off in style for one last time.
