Lucknow defeated Chennai by 6 wickets to register their first win in the IPL. CSK set LSG a target of 210 with valuable contributions from Robin Uthappa, Shivam Dube, Moeen Ali and Ambati Rayudu. MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja provided the finishing touch as CSK set a target of mammoth 211.
Chasing 211, skipper KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock added 99 runs for the 1st wicket and set up the chase. Evin Lewis scored an unbeaten 23 ball 55 to help Lucknow get their 2 points in IPL 2022.
