In what will be their last league game of the season, Delhi Capitals (DC) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are set to go head-to-head against each other in Match 67 of the ongoing IPL 2023. The upcoming encounter will be a day game, scheduled to be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Saturday, May 20.

CSK will be in desperate need of a win, which would confirm their place in the playoffs. The Men in Yellow are currently placed second on the points table with 15 points after 13 games.

Delhi, meanwhile, are already out of the competition. However, they will enter the game on the back of a win against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) in their last game. The hosts will be determined to put up another great performance against CSK and perhaps give them a killer blow in the league.

The nature of the surface at the Arun Jaitley Stadium has been on a drier side so far. With the game scheduled to be played in the day, there will be no dew on the field throughout the match.

As DC and CSK gear up to face each other for the second time in IPL 2023, let's take a look at three possible bowlers who could be amongst the wickets on Saturday.

#3 Matheesha Pathirana - CSK

Matheesha Pathirana has been the find of the season for Chennai this term. The slingy Sri Lankan pacer has been mighty impressive in the tournament, having picked up 15 wickets across just 11 innings.

The 20-year-old youngster has taken the responsibility for death bowling for CSK, which looked like one of their matters of concern prior to the tournament.

Pathirana will once again be aiming to have his say against a side he impressed. In the reverse fixture in Chennai, the right-armer took a three-wicket haul and helped CSK to clinch the match.

#2 Ishant Sharma - DC

In a season where nothing much have gone their way, Ishant Sharma has been a shining light for the Delhi Capitals.

The tall pacer has been prolific with the new ball and in the middle overs. He has used his experience to a great effect and has picked up 10 scalps across eight innings. His bowling strike rate of 15.0 is also amongst the best for his side.

The Delhi-born lad, who played his first T20 match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in 2008, will be looking to use all his experience of playing the venue and shine in front of his home crowd.

#1 Deepak Chahar - CSK

After missing half of the season due to an injury, Deepak Chahar has finally found his feet in the yellow of CSK once again.

The right-armer went wicketless in his first four IPL 2023 games and looked a shadow of himself earlier in the campaign. However, as the season has progressed, Chahar has been vital with the new ball for the four-time champions.

In only his last three outings, the 30-year-old has scalped seven times at a phenomenal strike rate of 7.71.

In the last game against DC, Chahar dismissed both the star openers in David Warner and Phil Salt before delivering a brilliant opening spell against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). He rocked KKR in CSK's last outing by claiming three scalps in his first three overs.

CSK would hope that Chahar continues his rhythm and keep the momentum going in the crunch game against DC as well.

Chahar has a favorable matchup against Prithvi Shaw as well, having dismissed the DC opener six times in only nine IPL innings.
