The Mumbai Indians and Pune Warriors India have played each other four times in IPL so far. The former holds an edge with a 3-1 win-loss record. While the Mumbai Indians were on the winning side on both the occasions in 2011, both the teams shared the spoils in the following season winning a game each.

Mumbai Indians defeated their rivals in the previous meeting by only one run; interestingly it was only the fourth time such result took place in the IPL.

Sachin Tendulkar has holds the record for the most catches by a fielder who is not a wicket-keeper in an IPL match with four.

Teams generally prefer chasing at the Wankhede Stadium; and the stats shows why: the team chasing has won 14 of the 24 matches.

Only once has a player from both the teams managed to score a 50 or more, in the four previous matches between them.

What’s next in store for teams: The Mumbai Indians will head north to the Pink City of Jaipur as they next take on the Rajasthan Royals on April 17.

Pune Warriors India meanwhile will travel down South when they take on the Chennai Super Kings in Chennai on April 15.
