Chennai Super Kings have been known as the most successful team in the history of IPL right from 2008 to present. One of the main reasons behind this has been their star-studded batting line-up.

Matthew Hayden played the role of the main pillar for CSK during his golden days as he used to open the innings for his franchise. With his powerful strokes, he could smash any ball for a six creating a major problem for the bowlers. He was mainly known for his ability to tee off right from the first ball of the match.

Hayden emerged out as the Orange Cap winner of the 2nd season of IPL as he scored the total of 572 runs from 12 matches. The Aussie opener registered 5 half-centuries in the 2nd season and had an impressive average of 52.00 in the tournament.
