Robin Uthappa from KKR won his first ever Orange Cap in the year 2014.

Kolkata Knight Riders, as a franchise, have gained huge success in the Indian Premier League. They have lifted the IPL trophy 2 times in 11 seasons. They won their first IPL title in the year 2012 and the second one in the year 2014. They won both the seasons under the captaincy of Gautam Gambhir.

Robin Uthappa has proved to be the golden boy for Kolkata franchise. He has single-handedly won many matches for his side with his marvelous batting performances.

Uthappa proved why he is the best player from his side in the year 2014 when he emerged as the leading run scorer from his side as well as from all other teams with a tally of 660 runs. Hence, he won the Orange Cap in the 6th edition of IPL.
