#2 Ajinkya Rahane

It was expected that India’s deputy skipper in Tests, Ajinkya Rahane was released from Rajasthan Royals. His mid-season removal from his captaincy role in IPL 2019 suggested disagreements between the management and the cricketer. However, being the all-time leading run-scorer for RR, Rahane would feel ill-treated by his former franchise.
Being an experienced player, Rahane was the rock at the top for the Royals. He played a crucial role in taking his side into the playoffs in 2018, before bowing out in the Eliminator against Kolkata Knight Riders. Even in 2019, the 31-year-old mustered 393 runs including a fluent century to silence the critics, demanding his ouster from the team.
The Mumbai batsman would feel hard done after his association with the Jaipur-based franchise comes to an end in 2019. He played 100 games for Rajasthan in a period between 2011-2015 and returned as a skipper in 2018 and 2019.
