#1 Jason Roy

An explosive, hard-hitting English opener, Jason Roy had a World Cup to remember in 2019. With loads of expectations on him, Roy delivered and was instrumental in providing his team with great starts on almost all occasions. Though he missed a few matches due to injury, he came back and played a mesmerising inning in the World Cup semi-final against Australia to book a clash against the Kiwis in the final.
In seven outings with the bat, Roy scored 443 runs with an average of 63.29 including his highest score of 153 against Bangladesh. After a really successful World Cup, the 29-year old will hope to continue his good run even in the upcoming year.
He will also have a sight on the IPL auction and would assume to fetch a bid after withdrawing from his name from IPL 2019. The right-hander could solve the conundrum for most franchises suffering from opening woes at the top of the order.
