#1 Shaun Marsh
Shaun Marsh announced himself on the big stage by playing some breathtaking innings in the inaugural season of the IPL in 2008. Marsh, an unknown quantity at that time, ended up as the highest run-getter of the season and was subsequently picked for his national side.
Unfortunately, Marsh's international career never took off but he still remained a force to reckon with in the IPL. He did miss quite some matches due to injuries but still maintained a strong IPL record.
Marsh has an IPL career average of 39.95 and in fact had an average of over 30 in IPL 2018, the last season he played in the IPL.
After playing for Kings XI Punjab for 10 years, he was released by the team before IPL 2018. Despite his superlative IPL record, Marsh failed to attract any buyers and remained unsold at the next two auctions. Considering that Shaun Marsh is 36, in all likelihood, he will remain unsold once again.
