#2 Jason Roy
Jason Roy is a right-handed opening batsman who plays for England across all formats. Roy, who previously played for Gujarat Lions and Delhi Capitals, is known for playing destructive innings in T20s and ODIs.
He scored a total of 4882 runs at an impressive strike rate of 145.68 in his T20 career. In his IPL career, he scored 179 runs in 8 matches at an average of 29.83. In the 2019 World Cup, he proved to be a vital cog for the England team. Roy scored 443 runs in just eight games at an astonishing strike of 115.36.
RCB lack an overseas opening batsman. The Virat Kohli-led team should consider releasing Heinrich Klassen, who couldn't make any impact on the side. Roy's experience of playing 194 matches all around the world would undoubtedly boost their batting department.
#1 Mitchell Starc
Mitchell Starc is among the best Australian fast bowlers of this generation. Starc, who last played an IPL match in 2015, was part of Royal Challengers Bangalore's squad for two seasons. He picked a total of 34 wickets in 27 games at a decent economy of 7.16. KKR bought him in the 2018 auction, but a leg injury did not allow him to participate. In the 2019 World Cup, he picked up 27 wickets and was the highest wicket-taker in the tournament.
Tim Southee couldn't prove his worth as a wicket-taking bowler. RCB should consider releasing him ahead of the auctions to bring back a consistent performer in Starc.
