Michael Hussey won the Orange cap in 2013 season.

Michael Hussey made his international debut against India in 2004. He went on to make his test debut against West Indies in 2005. He has nearly scored 12000 runs in his international career. Hussey is well known as a good test player scoring 6235 runs at an average of 51.53. He has scored 19 centuries in tests and 3 in ODIs.

Hussey made his IPL debut against Kings XI Punjab in 2008. He has been a part of Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings franchises respectively. Hussey averaged around 84 in the inaugural edition for CSK. He was the recipient of the Orange Cap in 2013, scoring 733 runs. Hussey also contributed handsomely in CSK's Champions League success. He has been instrumental in CSK's success over the seasons. Fondly known as MR. Cricket, Hussey announced his retirement in 2016.
