In the Indian Premier League (IPL), Stephen Fleming is one of the most successful coaches, having helped CSK win 5 IPL trophies as of March 2025. Likewise, there have been other coaches who have stayed with a particular team for the majority of their IPL coaching career, like Mahela Jayawardene, who helped Mumbai Indians win the title in his first season in 2017. Under his guidance, the Mumbai Indians became only the second team (after CSK) to defend their title in 2020.
Among the newly formed teams, the Gujarat Titans appointed Ashish Nehra as their head coach in 2022. He led his team to the IPL trophy in their first season and reached the final the following season. With the 18th edition of the IPL underway, the head coaches of every team have been revealed.
