#10 Basil Thampi - 2017
In 2017, a young lad from Kerala impressed the IPL fans with his high-spirit bowling which had many asking, "Is this really his debut season"?
Basil Thampi prospered in the colors of the Gujarat Lions as they reached the playoffs pretty easily under the leadership of Suresh Raina.
Thampi's effective bowling earned him the prestigious Emerging Player of the year award. The pacer from Kerala is yet to break into the national side and with Gujarat Lions now defunct, Thampi has signed for the Sunrisers Hyderabad and is set to feature in IPL 2019.
#11 Rishabh Pant - 2018
The dynamic Rishabh Pant took home the award in 2018 courtesy of his brilliant batting display all through the tournament. Despite Delhi Daredevils' disappointing campaign, Pant was one of the stars of the tournament as he regularly contested for the Orange Cap and ended the tournament as the second highest scorer behind Kane Williamson.
Pant is considered as one of the shining stars of India and his brilliant showing in the IPL earned him a call to the national side as well.
Pant is still signed to the Delhi franchise and will be looking to carry his good form into the 2019 season.
