Although he first played for Delhi Capitals for three seasons (2008-2010), it wasn’t until he joined Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2011 that he really came into the limelight. At RCB, he has formed an unbreakable duo with Virat Kohli and the two batsmen have wreaked havoc over the years.

His most memorable performance came in 2016 when he scored 687 runs in 16 matches and played a useful hand in helping his team reach the finals of the tournament. His consistency over the years has been one of the key factors for RCB.
