The inaugural edition of the Indian Premier League was the only season in which Pakistani players played in the tournament. Misbah-ul-Haq is a well-known Pakistani middle order batsman, who made his debut in 2001 and retired in 2017. Misbah is the only Pakistani player who played for the Royal Challengers Bangalore. The right-handed batsman played 8 games for RCB and scored 117 runs for the team, with his highest score being 47 not out. Although he played eight games for his side in 2008, he didn't feature in the following editions, along with the other Pakistani cricketers, owing to political conflicts between their nation and India. Well, he did play and he did score in the IPL but it is tough to remember him in the Royal Challengers jersey. If the Pakistani players continued playing in the IPL, Misbah could have been a major name in the history of the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
